869. Bird Breakfast: a mindful children’s tale
When Peanut Squirrel has trouble finding her buried food in the icy snow, her bird friends Carrie, Bert, and Gus work together to share their special pine cone.
Narrator: Female
Story Begins: 3:38
Bird Breakfast Excerpt:
Carrie Cardinal perched on a sturdy branch of a tall pine tree at the edge of the yard, singing a sweet song. Her vibrant red feathers stood out beautifully against the snowy backdrop. As Carrie sang, she felt calm and content. She loved the winter, with its quietness and sparkling beauty.
Carrie gazed out at the peaceful scene around her. She supposed that everyone was cozy in their homes, taking shelter from the nighttime cold. But now that the sun was out, Carrie expected that soon she would see her friends gather around the bird feeder.
